The uniqueness of the Corsican Immortelle !
More and more studies about Immortelle (Helichrysum Italicum) are published showing a huge scope of therapeutic properties.
Whether its regenerative, anti-radical (anti-ageing), anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory (against injury) or soothing values (for painful joints) the Immortelle has not yet revealed all its virtues...
Few months ago the University of Corte conducted a laboratory study to analyze the concentration of β-diketones and neryl acetate in various Immortelle plants located in Mediterranean regions (these two actives are, in fact, the origin of the benefits that this plant offers).
Study simply shows that the Immortelle of Corsica holds the highest rate in β-diketones and neryl acetate! As an example it contains two to three times more β-diketones than its Tuscan neighbour (which is very close geographically).
The Corsican Immortelle is now logically increasingly demanded by cosmetic companies in France but also worldwide...
Being cultivated "only" on 150 hectares in Corsica, the challenge will be to continue to develop its sustainable culture so that the majority can benefit from its virtues.
