Our skin is simply the largest and heaviest organ of our body (an average of 3 to 4 kilograms).
The epidermis, the dermis and the hypodermis play a major role against external aggressions.
In an increasingly hostile environment, the skin tends to react and therefore to become sensitive.
According to a study carried out in Europe by BVA on 2,190 persons, more than 62% of women report having sensitive or dehydrated skin. This ratio is unfortunately increasing constantly because of our modern and urban lifestyle: stress, pollution, unbalanced diet…
In this same study 80% of respondents said they felt bad effects of dehydration and / or skin sensitivity.
Tightness, irritations, itching ... at the European level skin sensitivity is clearly an issue for the population.
80% of respondents also said they know the right things to do to take care of their skin. However, and this is the paradox, despite of the huge cosmetic products offer, the French women are the less informed about the benefits of a purifying serum, an anti-aging cream or a moisturizing mask.
There is still room for improvement...
